Paladin Sales is very happy to represent a unique, money-saving mold opening device for rotational molders. The Automatic Mold Jacksİ (Patent Pending) prevent many problems associated with mold halves sticking together during the unloading process including causing damage to parting lines that can be very expensive to repair. Sticking molds also result in extreme stresses on the molding machine and can cause arms to prematurely fail costing thousands of dollars.

Background

During the rotational molding process the mold is serviced after the cooling cycle. At the Servicing Station the mold bolts or clamps are removed and a hoist is attached to lifting points of the mold or spider. Several components resist the mold from opening:

Any or all of the items above can create an initial force that is greater than the actual weight of the mold and machine arm, in which case the crane can lift the molds, spiders, and even the entire arm of the machine. The Automatic Mold Jacks are incorporated into the lifting eyes of a standard frame of a rotational mold. The leverage created by the Automatic Mold Jacks aid in overcoming all of these components resulting in maximum mold-separation force with even-pressure lifting.

Results

The Automatic Mold Jacks have many advantages:

Bonus!

The Automatic Mold Jacks level the mold before closing, ensuring that the mold is closed evenly, further preventing costly parting line damage and extending the life of the molds.
